Deep Tones for Peace @ ISB Convention at the Eastman School of Music

Mark DresserOnTour

Deep Tones for Peace is a bass centric international music performance dedicated to peace in the middle east. Instigated in 2009 by JC Jones and Barre Phillips with the support of a community of thirteen internationally renown bassists playing together live on the internet between Jerusalem and New York City. Our sincere hope continues to be that our diverse music can be received as it is being offered, as a sharing of distinct musical languages and structures that co-exist in peace and are appreciated by all. Deep Tones for Peace has been performed yearly in Berlin-2010, San Francisco 2011, and Copenhagen-2012.

We are honored by the participation of Hagai Bilitzky (IS) Mark Dresser (USA), Henry Grimes (USA), Diana Gannett (USA), Michael Klinghoffer (IS), Rob Nairn (AUS), Jiri Slavik (CZ), Bert Turetzky (USA), and Jeff Campbell (USA).

Performance is at 11am- 11:45am in Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music
